A note to Junior High Football families (Grades 6-8) :
We recognize it is important that sometimes JH athletes try football before registering for the Fall season. If you would like to try spring football before committing to the full fall season please see your options:
1. Register for fall football below. This will guarantee your spot for the football team in the fall while allowing you to begin payments. If you choose this option please continue with registration as usual.
2. Register for spring football only: You can pay $100.00 and register for spring football only HERE. If you choose to play fall football we will give you a $100 code when you sign up for registration. If you choose not to sign up for fall football the $100.00 will not be reimbursed and will pay for the spring football training. Please note a waiver must be signed and brought to the first day of practice.
A note to HS football families (Grades 9-12):
Registering for the Fall season is a requirement of spring football.
Athletes must complete all contact, participation, sponsorship information, electronically sign the Waiver and Participation Agreements, provide physical, and submit payment to be eligible for participation prior to the first practice.
Texas Wind is a member of TAIAO. TAIAO requirements for ages and transfers are as follows:
JUNIOR HIGH SPORTS AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Will reach their 10th birthday prior to May 31st in the calendar year of participation; and,
b. Will not have reached their 14th birthday prior to May 31st of the same
year.
HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS AGE REQUIREMENTS:
If an athlete is currently homeschooled then you need to follow these guidelines for the 2024-2025 season for High school sports:
a student will be considered a High School student who is 14 years of age or older as of May 31stin the calendar year ofparticipation. Examples:
a. A player cannot turn 19 years of age before May 31st of the calendar year.

b. Player A turns 14 on May 30th 2024. Player A will be a High School player when the Fall 2024-2025 season sports begin.
c. Player B turns 14 on June 5th , 2024. Player B will be considered a middle school player when the Fall 2024-2025 season sports begin school year.
d. Player C, (a Senior) can not turn 19 years of age during his/her final year.
TAIAO HIGH SCHOOL TRANSFER POLICY:
If you are not transferring from another TAIAO program to Texas Wind you DO NOT need to follow the transfer policy.
TAIAO has policies restricting athlete transfers to maintain fair competition, prevent recruiting, and to uphold the integrity of the sport.
These policies aim to discourage organizations from gaining a competitive advantage by acquiring talented athletes from other organizations, ensuring a level playing field for all participants. Furthermore, it prevents athletes from cherry picking the sports they want to play in with different organizations.
Transfer restrictions also promote loyalty and commitment to a particular team, fostering a sense of continuity and team cohesion.
Overall, these policies contribute to the overall fairness, stability, and ethical standards within the athletic community.
The transfer process requires a co-signed document (sent from TAIAO) which requires the signatures of the Athlete. Parent. Current Coach & AD, the New Coach & AD as well as the TAIAO Chair of the sport(s).

Junior High Registration Fee: $500
High School Registration Fee: $600
